A freight train crashed into a pickup truck at the railroad crossing at Centerline Road in Beltrami County, Minnesota, on July 16th. Two People sustained injuries in the crash. The injured were taken to hospitals. The cause of crash remains under investigation.

Freight Train Hits Passenger Bus in Central Germany; 3 Killed
A freight train hit a passenger van at a railway crossing in the area of Lohma near Gera, Thuringia, Central Germany, on April 18th. The train dragged the van along for around 200 metres after hitting. All three passengers inside the van were killed. Initial investigations reveal that the barrier was closed at the time of accident.
