A collision between two big rigs and two passenger vehicles spilled gasoline and sparked a fire on southbound Interstate 75 near Gainesville, Florida, on January 3rd. Six people were killed in the accident. At least eight others were injured.

A lorry crashed into several vehicles at a toll station in Lanzhou, China, on November 3rd. It is believed that the lorry suffered a brake failure that resulted in the 31-vehicle pile-up. Fifteen people were killed in the crash. Forty-four others were injured.

Two dragon boats capsized in Taohua river in southern China, on April 20th. The accident happened in the city of Guilin, when the boat crews were practicing for a race for the upcoming dragon boat festival. Seventeen people were killed in the accident. Forty others were rescued.
Bus-Truck Collision in Kenya Leaves At Least 36 Dead
A bus collided head-on with a truck on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway near Migaa, Kenya, on December 31st. The accident happened when the bus was traveling from Busia to Nairobi, while the truck was heading from Nakuru to Eldoret. Thirty-six people were killed in the crash. Seventeen others were injured and were taken to hospitals.

Motorcyclist Killed After Collision with Truck in Middleborough, MA
A truck collided with a motorcycle on Route 18 in Middleborough, Massachusetts, on October 21st. The accident happened when the 2017 Isuzu delivery truck was pulling out of a driveway at 190 Bradford St. The motorcyclist, identified as Michael G. Garner, 24, of Middleboro, was killed in the crash. The accident is under investigation.
