A bus ran into something and caught fire near the Zambian border, Sakania, Haut-Katanga District, Congo, on May 20th. The accident happened when the bus, heading from Kitwe, Zambia, tried to use a muddy road as a shortcut through Congo. A train carrying passengers and goods was in an accident between Lubumbashi and Kolwezi. Fifty-six people died, and sixty-nine were injured.
