A lorry crashed into several vehicles at a toll station in Lanzhou, China, on November 3rd. It is believed that the lorry suffered a brake failure that resulted in the 31-vehicle pile-up. Fifteen people were killed in the crash. Forty-four others were injured.

In Chongqing, China, a dispute between a female passenger and a bus driver led to a fatal crash off a bridge over the Yangtze River. 13+ fatalities. 50 firefighters, five fire engines and two rescue boats were deployed.
Bus Crashes in China After Fight Between Driver and Passenger; At Least 13 Dead
A bus plunged into a river in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, China, on October 28th. Security footage from the bus revealed that there was an altercation between the driver and a passenger which turned physical, moments before the bus crashed into the Yangtze River. At least thirteen people were killed in the crash.
Dragon Boat Accident in China Leaves 17 Dead
Two dragon boats capsized in Taohua river in southern China, on April 20th. The accident happened in the city of Guilin, when the boat crews were practicing for a race for the upcoming dragon boat festival. Seventeen people were killed in the accident. Forty others were rescued.

A double-decker bus crashed in Hong Kong, China, on February 10th. It is believed that the bus was speeding when it overturned. At least nineteen people were killed in the crash, including seventeen men and two women. Dozens other were injured and were taken to hospitals.

A bus crashed and caught fire in a tunnel in Shandong, China, on May 9th. The bus was transporting children to a kindergarten in Weihai, at the time. Truck-Bus Collision in China; 12 Killed, 28 Injured
A truck collided with a bus in Yakeshi, Mongolia, China, on the evening of September 24th. According to sources, the truck was trying to dodge a horse on the road when the accident occurred. At least 12 passengers were killed in the crash while 28 others suffered injuries of varying intensities. The injured were taken to hospital.
26 Killed as Bus Falls into Ditch in China
A bus veered off an expressway and plunged into a ditch in Tianjin, China. On July 1st. The bus was travelling on Tianjin-Jixian expressway when one of the tires burst, causing it to veer off. There were 30 people aboard at the time; 26 of them were killed.
At Least 35 Killed, 11 Injured after Bus Crashes in Central China
A bus crashed into a roadside concrete barrier in central China, on June 26th. The accident happened in the Hunan Province when the bus was carrying 55 people. At least 35 people were killed in the accident. Eleven others were injured and were taken to hospital. Authorities said 4 of the injured were in serious condition.
