A car rear-ended a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) trolley bus at the intersection of Penn street and Arrott Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 5.
Authorities said the bus, carrying 18 passengers and a driver, had stopped at a traffic signal when the car, carrying a driver and a passenger, crashed into its rear end.
The car driver and his passenger were taken to Einstein Medical Center where the driver succumbed to his injuries.
The bus driver and his passengers were also shifted to Einstein Medical Center but their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
The accident is under investigation.
